About data provision
To improve operational protection, the following Kaspersky Internet Security components use the Kaspersky Security Network cloud service:
- Scan. The app additionally scans the installed apps before their first launch. This scan allows the detection of new threats that have not been described in the Anti-Virus databases.
- Web Protection. The app additionally scans websites before they are opened.
- Text Anti-Phishing. The app blocks links in text messages to malicious and phishing websites.
For more detailed information on data transferred to Kaspersky Lab when the cloud service is used for Kaspersky Internet Security is on user devices, read the End User License Agreement. By accepting the terms and conditions of the End User License Agreement, you agree to automatically transfer to Kaspersky Lab the information listed below:
In order to help detect new and evasive information security threats and their sources, identify potential intrusion threats, and improve the level of protection of the information stored and processed on the device, you agree to automatically submit the following information to Kaspersky Lab:
- wireless network being used
- hardware and software installed on the device
- all scanned objects and actions
- detected threats, the results of processing these threats, and the installed anti-virus databases
- web addresses, for the purpose of determining their reputation, an ID for the connection protocol, and the number of the port being used
- information about activation of Kaspersky Internet Security and the version currently in use
- a unique device ID
For the purpose of providing you with the most relevant informational and advertising offerings, you agree to provide the following information:
- a unique user ID
- license information
- operating system version
- identifier for the connection to the portal and the connection status
For the purpose of optimizing scanning methods and reducing the number of false positives when scanning installed apps and loaded files, you agree to provide the following information:
- a unique user ID
- a unique app ID
- information about apps being loaded and installed
- certificate used to sign the app distribution being installed
Kaspersky Lab protects any information received in this way as prescribed by law.
Kaspersky Lab uses any information received for general statistics only. General statistical data is automatically generated from original received information and does not contain any personal data or other confidential information. Original received information is stored in encrypted form; it is cleared as it is accumulated (twice per year). General statistical data is stored indefinitely.
For the purpose of creating effective Kaspersky Lab marketing and news materials, you agree to automatically provide the following information to AppsFlyer, Facebook and Google AdWords™:
- to AppsFlyer:
- information about the app, including the app version, app ID, and installation date
- information about the device
- cellular operator and region being used
- ID of the Android operating system installation on the device
- AppsFlyer SDK used in the app, its version and build number
- the unique ID of the user of Google services
- date, time, and name of the event about which information is submitted, the event parameter and code of currency used
- to Facebook:
- Facebook app ID
- ID of the banner from which the app was installed, time and date of clicking on the banner
- information about app installation
- to Google AdWords:
- name and version of the app used
- app ID in the Google AdWords service
- version of the operating system installed
- version of Google AdWords SDK
- ID of the banner from which the app was installed
- user's unique advertising ID in the Google Play service
- attribute on the number of ad impressions
For the purpose of improving the quality of the app and analyzing user satisfaction, you agree to automatically provide the following information to Google Analytics™ and Apptimize:
- to Google Analytics:
- information about the app, including version, name in the Google service, and ID in the Google service
- unique ID of the instance of app installation
- information about the language (locale) of the device operating system
- device screen resolution
- name of the window that is active when data is submitted
- duration of the session during which the window was active
- device processor type
- version of the protocol used to send data to Google Analytics
- ID of the event that caused data to be sent
- ID of the actions performed by the app and the result of performing these actions
- to Apptimize:
- unique ID of app installation on the device
- information about the device, including the model name, height, width and scale of the screen, language localization of the device and the region in which it is being used;
- version of the operating system installed
- information about usage of the app, including the average number of app usage session with the current type of user interface, the average number of screen views per session, the average time between sessions, the average session duration, the number of second and subsequent instances of app usage during the day and the week
Data is transmitted to AppsFlyer, Google Analytics, Facebook, and Apptimize via a secure connection. Data is transmitted to Google AdWords via an insecure connection. Access to and protection of information is regulated by the relevant terms of use of the AppsFlyer, Google Analytics, Facebook, Apptimize, and Google AdWords services.
