Why you need an account

An account is necessary for you to use the My Kaspersky portal to remotely turn on the device alarm, lock the device, locate it on the map, wipe data, or surreptitiously take a mugshot of the person currently using your device. You can also use the portal to restore a forgotten secret code for Kaspersky Internet Security.

An account is needed to access all Kaspersky Lab services. If you have already signed up for My Kaspersky Account, or if you have an account for the My Kaspersky portal, this means that you have the required account.

You must specify the account during initial configuration of Anti-Theft. Your email address serves as your user name. If you forget your account password when signing in to the My Kaspersky portal, you can restore it.
